Gas anesthesia is now available at AVCI Mandaue and AVCI Pardo for selected procedures requiring inhalation anesthesia. Using isoflurane, gas anesthesia allows the veterinary team to adjust anesthetic depth during a procedure while continuously monitoring the patient. It may be used for surgeries, dental procedures, and other cases where general anesthesia is indicated. Before anesthesia, each patient is assessed and appropriate pre-anesthetic testing may be recommended to help evaluate fitness for the procedure. Throughout anesthesia and recovery, the patient is closely monitored by the veterinary team. Availability of gas anesthesia gives pet owners another anesthesia option when recommended for their pet’s procedure.
