When your pet begins to show these signs – panting, shivering, nervousness, and/or not wanting to eat – expect delivery within 12 hours. Some pets may even reach 36 hours before giving birth.
The medical term for giving birth in dogs is “whelping.” Giving birth in cats is called “queening.”
