A Day of Fun and Camaraderie at Palm Beach Resort Mactan
The Aycardo Veterinary Center Inc. (AVCI) held its much-anticipated summer outing on March 9, 2025, at the scenic Palm Beach Resort Mactan, located in Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City. This highly awaited event was attended by all AVCI staff members, including veterinarians, technicians, assistants, receptionists, administrative personnel, and the support team. Adding to the excitement, AVCI’s esteemed pet grooming partner, FuRRs Inc., also joined the celebration, making it a truly memorable gathering.
The festivities kicked off in the morning, with Marlon Malano and Jemaimah Lopez taking the lead as the event’s dynamic emcees. The gathering was set in motion with an opening prayer led by Dr. Jessica Bacalan, followed by a heartfelt welcome speech from Dr. Gerald Aycardo, who expressed gratitude for everyone’s hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Shortly after the formalities, the energy skyrocketed as the games began, expertly organized and facilitated by Julyde Layna. The games brought laughter and teamwork to the forefront, strengthening the bond among colleagues and setting a joyful tone for the rest of the day.
After an exhilarating series of games, it was time to indulge in a sumptuous feast. The highlight of the meal was the ever-popular lechon, which took center stage at the buffet table. The delicious spread of local delicacies fueled everyone for the exciting activities that lay ahead.
With satisfied appetites, everyone went on to enjoy their own preferred activities in the afternoon. Some opted to take a dip in the many pools available at the resort, while others unwound in the jacuzzi or floated in the pristine beach waters. The resort’s serene ambiance and stunning coastal views provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment.
By 2:30 PM, the adrenaline rush resumed as the much-anticipated banana boat ride commenced. This thrilling activity lasted for over an hour, allowing several batches of enthusiastic participants to take their turns. The exhilarating ride took the staff out into the deep waters, where they were playfully tossed into the sea as the boat capsized—purely for fun, of course! Safety was paramount, with all participants donning life vests to ensure a secure yet thrilling experience.
As the sun began to set, the energy levels dwindled, but the smiles remained. The day concluded with everyone exhausted yet fulfilled, especially those who had spent their energy trying to stay on the banana boat without being thrown off. It was a day filled with laughter, adventure, and camaraderie, reinforcing the strong bond within the AVCI team and their partners at FuRRs Inc.
The AVCI Summer Outing 2025 was a resounding success, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a renewed sense of unity. Here’s to another year of teamwork and shared experiences—until the next adventure!
