A Faster Road to Healing

This cat came to AVCI with severe, painful wounds around the perineal area.
Because the cat was having difficulty urinating, the area was frequently exposed to moisture. Constant rubbing and licking may have also made the skin damage worse.
To help the wounds heal faster, we used our Class IV Laser Therapy as part of the treatment plan.
The cat completed 9 laser therapy sessions over 15 days—and the result was complete healing of the affected skin.
Laser therapy helps reduce inflammation, ease discomfort, and support tissue repair without adding more trauma to an already sensitive area.
At AVCI, we use different treatment options depending on what each patient needs—including laser therapy for selected wounds and painful conditions.
