We recently treated a patient who had an incomplete spay. Only the ovaries were removed. The uterine horns were left behind inside the abdomen. Over time, they became severely infected, filled with pus, and turned into a life-threatening condition called stump pyometra.
Thankfully, our team at AVCI successfully removed the infected tissue, and this brave pup made a full recovery!
