Temporary (or deciduous) teeth will be replaced by permanent teeth in due time. After 3 months of age, permanent teeth will start to appear in both dogs and cats. Comparing both set of teeth, temporary teeth are sharper and smaller than permanent teeth. Just be careful not to have your finger stuck between those razor-sharp puppy teeth.
